With the first announcement of the game being made back in December, the cast has been announced for the newest Telltale Games title: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.
Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) will voice Star-Lord, the character made famous on the big screen by Chris Pratt. Porter will be joined by Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) who will voice Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Assassin’s Creed, Pretty Little Liars) will voice Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) will voice Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) has the most difficult role voicing Groot.
Telltale Games have also released a series of teaser images from the upcoming title, and it is clear that the character designs are more closely aligned to the Hollywood movie than the comic book.
While little has been released with regards to the story line itself, Telltale Games are promising an original plot, with the Guardians of the Galaxy uncovering an artefact of “unspeakable power” that each desires, which is also desired by a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind.
The exact release date for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series has not yet been announced, however the first episode will premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) convention in Austin, Texas on March 17th.
