The highly anticipated puzzle adventure game from Grey Box, Six Foot and Tequila Works, RiME, has been given a release date of May 26th for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Shortly afterwards to be released on the Nintendo Switch some time within Winter. Interestingly, the game will ship with a RRP of $59.95 AUD for PS4 and Xbox One and $49.95 AUD for PC. But the Switch version will ship with a RRP of $79.95 AUD. We are still unsure as to why the Switch version will cost Switchers an extra $20.
RiME is a single-player puzzle adventure game about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must find their way around the island’s secrets by utilising light, sound. perspective and even time. RiME has a feel and an art style inspired by Studio Ghibli films, games of the likes of Journey and The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker and the art works of Salvidor Dali.
RiME makes use of it’s environment and scenery along with musical undertones to tell a story of the young boy stranded on a mystical island. Find out more here.
