Sonic Forces – first gameplay video

Sega has unveiled the very first gameplay video for their upcoming 3D Sonic game, Sonic Forces.

Previously known simply as Sonic 2017, Sonic Forces has players rampage through “a city under siege by Death Egg Robot sentinels”, according to the video’s description.

The gameplay and camera perspective is reminiscent of past 3D Sonic games. The graphics and environmental happenings seem to be a fairly sharp upgrade however. Either way there seems to be a lot of what we know and love in Sonic Forces. Hopefully it can bring the same kind of chaotic yet tightly-controlled platforming that Sonic is known for.

Arriving during the holiday period of this year. Sonic Forces will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
