While it may have been scoffed at originally, ARMS for Nintendo Switch has become one of the more anticipated releases for Nintendo’s newest console.
A video was revealed at the Nintendo Direct earlier today, showing off some of the features of the game, along with its June 16th release date. We’ve known for a while that the main feature in the upcoming fighting game is the ability to equip two types of customisable ARMS per fighter.
“Each ARM has a special attribute like fire, ice or electricity that activates when delivering a charge punch. As players fight through the game, they will earn in-game currency that can be used to play in the ARM Getter, a fun mode in which they can get new ARMS for their fighters.”
It was also revealed that the game can be played in either 1v1 or 2v2 modes, for those who have the friends and Joy-Con’s to support it.
In addition to this, special neon yellow Joy-Con controllers and Joy-Con Straps will be released on the same day, alongside the Joy-Con AA Battery Pack accessory, sold in pairs.
With a game like ARMS relying so heavily on the use of the Joy-Con controllers not being attached to the console, the battery pack could definitely come in handy. Are you excited for ARMS? Check out our hands-on time with the game from earlier in the year.
