Heroes of the Storm 2.0 Launch

The Heroes of the Storm 2.0 patch has begun rolling out to live servers and it may get Overwatch fans just as excited as HotS fans. The patch’s release boasts the introduction of Overwatch character D.Va as a new playable hero, a new Battleground Hanamura, as well as the opportunity to grab some loot for both HotS and Overwatch.

Some other changes have come along with patch 2.0 that adjust the game’s interface, progression, and add Overwatch style loot boxes. Overwatch fans also benefit from the launch with the offer of new sprays, 10 loot boxes, and Overwatch skins.

How do I get my new Overwatch skins?

It’s pretty simple, just log into HotS during the event and do the following:

  • Week 1 – play 5 games with friends to earn Oni Genji skin in Overwatch
  • Week 2 – play 5 games with friends to earn Officer D.Va skin in Overwatch
  • Week 3 and 4 offers in game mounts, sprays, and loot boxes between the two games when you play with friends.

with a bunch of content, updates, and loot available it looks like the new Heroes of the Storm Overwatch event may get the traction it deserves.
