Keeping things rolling smoothly over the next few months, Splatoon 2, the anticipated sequel for the Nintendo Switch will be available on July 21st.
Adding more info to what we already know about the game, a new mode called Salmon Run has been introduced, featuring four-player co-op. By teaming up with friends, players can take on a part-time job battling the new Salmonid species, which the Squid Research Lab reports might even be more lethal than the Octarians! When players fall in co-op mode, teammates can revive them by inking them on the battlefield – a feature that we certainly crave during the competitive multiplayer.
Some new Splatoon amiibo were also announced during the presentation; new designs of Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy and Inkling Squid. These amiibo will unlock special limited gear in-game, as well as remembering your favourite weapons, gear, outfits and option settings for when you want to splat at a friends house (sorry).
We’re pumped for Splatoon 2 after falling in love with the original on the Wii U. Are you excited to get your splat on?
