Assassin’s Creed: Origins revealed via leak

Posted on May 10, 2017

According to a leaked image of the game posted to reddit and corroborated by Eurogamer, the next Assassins Creed title will be a prequel called Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

The leaked image depicts a character standing on a wooden sailboat. A bow and arrow along with a shield appear to the be current weapons on screen.

The Objective on the screen seems to be instructing the player to “assassinate the Crocodile”, while the active goal is to “Follow Shadya to Khenut’s Villa.” Crocodiles are known to have played a prominent role in Egyptian life, with the Nile river full of the dangerous predators. The name Khenut is also linked to Egyptian history, as the name of an Egyptian Queen who lived during the Fifth Dynasty (2494 – 2345 B.C.). These reasons along with past leaks have encouraged¬†fans and websites to believe the next instalment will be held in Egypt.

Leaks are very common in the Assassin’s Creed history, with various leaks always seeming to make their way to the internet well before Ubisoft is ready to unveil.

We do however know that this Assassin’s Creed title will be released later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
