It’s Dragon’ Dogmas 5th anniversary soon, and to celebrate the Dark Arisen version of the game is being ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Whilst only confirmed for a Japanese release, a Tweet from the English Dragon’s Dogma Twitter page strongly suggests a western release is coming too.

Dragons Dogma released in 2012 to PS3 and Xbox 360, and the Dark Arisen re-release came nearly a year later on April 26, 2013, bringing with it some tweaks and around 15 hours of new late game content. Both versions of the game received praise for the interesting and elaborate combat and intense boss battles but were brought down by repetitive quests, harsh difficulty in certain areas and heavy frame-rate drops.
I consider Dark Arisen to be one of my favourite games from the last console generation and can’t wait for a re-release. It’s currently expected to arrive towards the end of the year for Xbox One and PS4.
