From the studio that brought us Bastion and Transistor, Supergiant has announced the release date on their next game, Pyre.
3 years in development after the success of Transistor, Pyre is promising to be their largest game yet. Pyre is a party-based RPG about the pursuit of freedom. Set in a mystical purgatory with a diverse cast of characters, the mission is one of escape.
As their largest game to date, they’ve packed in a lot. Pyre has a vast singleplayer campaign, with a detailed branching storyline. Supergiant promises to never give you a game over.
The combat plays as a 3v3 colourful ritual, with the objective being to snuff out your opponents’ Signal Flames, before they snuff out yours. Well known for new and innovative combat systems, Supergiant is promising to deliver once more with Pyre.
You can also go toe to toe with you friends in a versus mode, both locally and online.
The soundtrack is confirmed to once again be fan favourite Darren Korb, with vocals from Ashley Barrett.
Pyre is set to release on the 25th of July this year, and you can pre-order now on Steam and Playstation 4.
