Nintendo have announced at E3 2017 that the newest title in the Metroid series, Metroid Prime 4, is now under development. The last in the Metroid Prime game was Metroid Prime 3 back in 2007 for the Wii; unless you count Metroid Prime: Federation Force in 2016 for the 3DS, that is.
As the teaser below shows, there is no release window on this one yet, which means it’s still a while away.
