In a HUGE reveal, the next iteration in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter World, is coming in early 2018.
Notably, this new Monster Hunter game will also supposedly feature an open world environment and will be the first game in the series with a simultaneous worldwide release window.
“Venture on quests alone or with up to three hunters in a newly designed online drop-in multiplayer system which allows cross-region cooperative play between Japan and the west, uniting the player base for the first time ever” – states a press release via Capcom.
Monster Hunter World is coming out in early 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One with PC coming at a later date. Special Monster Hunter World content will be arriving uniquely for PS4 players.
