The Need for Speed series has been a staple in the racing genre since 1994 and is one of the most recognisable names in the racing genre. The 2015 release was unfortunately met with a large amount of criticism.
However, as the latest gameplay trailer reveals, it is not too late to inject new life into a franchise. The extended gameplay trailer focuses on two of our three new playable characters as they chase down a fleeing truck and go head to head with its aggressive entourage — it is all very Fast and the Furious.
The Frostbite engine looks to be going through its paces, the scene has beautiful lighting and takes a page out of Burnout’s book and gives us some fantastic slow motion destruction as you aggressively remove enemies from the roads of Fortune Valley.
Need for Speed: Payback will release on PS4, XboxOne and PC on November 10th this year, be sure to check out the trailer below.
