Sonic Forces looks to be full of the chaotic, speedy, Sonic-style fun we know and love.
An E3 trailer of the game was released after Nintendo’s Spotlight event and it demonstrates the three different modes you can play within the game. Sonic Forces has you playing as a Modern Sonic in a 3D world, as Classic Sonic in traditional side-scrolling style, and as a custom hero you can create from a base of seven different animal types, which all have their own abilities. Along with the standard grappling hook, custom heroes can also equip other gadgets called “Wispons”. Wispons get different powers after harnessing the energy of the game’s different Wisps, who are non-hostile alien creatures last seen in 2010’s Sonic Colours.
Sonic Forces looks to include a lot of franchise favourites like Knuckles, Tails, Eggman and Shadow. The game is set to release in the holiday season 2017.
