Ex-Playdead CEO’s new studio announces their first game

Dino Patti, former CEO and founder of Playdead Studios, has  announced his next project. Having helped to create Limbo and Inside back at Playdead,his new partnership with indie developer Jumpship, has finally been confirmed.

Led by Chris Olsen Jumpship’s first title Somerville is described as a “sci-fi action adventure that chronicles the lives of key individuals in the wake of a global catastrophe.”

While Olsen is fairly new to game development he is a known animator, having worked on Heavenly Sword and some block buster movies including Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Iron Man 2, Edge of Tomorrow and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Jumpship is based in Guildford, U.K and is looking to expand. The studio did not give a release window or reveal the platforms that Somerville will be released on.  More news is sure to come about this new partnership and title project soon.
