The update many Pokémon Go fans have been waiting for may finally be coming this winter (or summer for those in the Northern Hemisphere). In an interview with O Globo, Mathieu de Fayet, Niantic’s VP of Strategic Partnerships teased some upcoming features.
“Now, we are working on some news for next summer (Northern Hemisphere), how to give more value to team choice, the release of Legendary Pokémon and battles between players. “
With such a vague mention, fans have been curious about which Legendary Pokémon we will be getting. The legendary and much loved Mew?
Or perhaps, with the more value placed on teams, we might be receiving the legendary 3 birds, in collaboration with the team you’re on.
The rumours are flying. The introduction of PvP also brings up the desire for player to be able to trade. If we’re getting the ability to fight not just on a gym, hopefully the capability to trade follows soon after.
Niantic seems to be making a number of changes and updates to celebrate reaching the 65 Million active player mark with this announcement and more egg hatching changes. With so many players, they’re clearly bringing their A-game to keep those 65 million happy.
