We’ve known for a little while now that Life is Strange is getting a sequel. Screenshots that have recently leaked now hint that a prequel may also be in development alongside it.
The news comes originally via Gamekult who went looking through the source code of Deck Nine Games’ website (which appears to be down now). It seems that DONTNOD, developers of Life is Strange, may have hired Deck Nine to work on the prequel.
Within the source code of the website was this screenshot.
Deck Nine, previous known as Idol Minds, recently hinted they were working on a heavily narrative based game, which would fit the Life is Strange formula. An entire set of sceenshots for the leaked prequel were uploaded anonymously to Imgur and they seem to be focusing on Rachel Amber, the missing girl from Life is Strange, and Chloe Price, Max’s best friend and potential girlfriend.
How will a prequel go for these two when we know their outcomes? Will it feature the same time travelling abilities? DONTNOD and Square Enix have not yet made a comment on these leaks, so time will tell for now.
