Undoubtedly taking inspiration from the success of Nintendo’s NES Mini, AtGames have revealed not one, but two nostalgia machines! The Atari Flashback 8 Gold and the Sega Genesis Flashback are set to launch this September.
The Atari Flashback 8 Gold comes with a whopping 120 games built in and two wireless controllers inspired by the Atari 2600. The console also features ports for paddles and wired joysticks. Supporting 720p HDMI, scan line filtering, fast forward / rewind, and save functions for every game.
The Sega Genesis Flashback features the same functions as the Atari console and comes loaded with 85 games. The Sega console comes with 2 wireless controllers and cartridge support and will support nearly every Sega Genesis and Mega Drive game. You can see the full list of games playable on the console at AtGames.
An official release date and price are yet to be revealed, but you can be sure that if the Nintendo mini console craze is anything to go by, these will fly off the shelves.
