Gran Turismo Sport races into stores in October

Sony have revealed the release date of the long awaited Gran Turismo Sport to be 18th October here in Australia.

This will be the first Gran Turismo game available for PS4, with the last iteration Gran Turismo  being released four years ago. While it used to be the undeniable giant in racing games, the consistently evolving and always updating Forza series on Xbox has proven to be quite the worthy competitor in the serious racing stakes, so it will be interesting to see how this new Gran Turismo compares. Expect to hear a lot more information about Gran Turismo Sport between now and its launch date, including new features, the campaign mode, creative tools and full reveals on all the cars and tracks that will appear in the game.

For me, Gran Turismo was the first driving simulator that I really fell in love with when I was younger, especially the challenging and frustrating experience of trying to acquire the toughest licenses. We’ll have more on Gran Turismo Sport as it’s revealed in coming months.
