Runic Games, known for their work on the critically acclaimed Torchlight series, are working on a brand new project. The project, entitled Hob, is “coming soon” to PC and PS4.
Hob is an action-adventure game where the player fights to mend a world in peril. Exploring your environment you’ll come across varying friends and foes (including the very helpful and cute Sprites), uncover the wordless narrative, and fight to repair a world threatened by chaos and destruction.
The game has a vibrant and captivating art style and a seemingly diverse set of environments and alien creatures for the player to meet and explore.
Interacting with the game’s quirky creatures, platforming over gaping chasms, puzzle solving amongst overgrown ruins or battling through hostile mobs – Hob is looking like it may be a game worth keeping your eye on. Hopefully it plays as good as it looks.
While no specific release date has yet been revealed we do know that Hob is releasing in 2017 for PS4 and PC, with the game’s steam page boasting that it will be “coming soon”.
