Last Day of June, a new indie title, made some waves at this year’s E3. Brought to us by Italian indie studio Ovosonico and publisher 505 Games — the game looks to be more than prepared to make us cry.
Last Day of June sees you take on the roll of Carl, the bereaved husband of the games namesake June. However Carl is just one of the many characters you’ll unlock as you discover portals to the past to take control of the people who have become intertwined in June’s story. Each new character will bring with them emotional and challenging puzzles as you work towards changing the events that led to her death.
With a unique animation and artistic style provided by Jess Cope, animator on Tim Burton’s Frankenwenie, the game is set to leave you in a glass case of emotions.
The game is set for release on Steam and PS4 on August 31st. Be sure to watch the moving reveal trailer with music from Steve Wilson and Ninet Tayeb below.
