Supergiant Games have made a career out of making breathtakingly beautiful games. With Bastion and Transistor under their belt the latest addition to the repertoire, Pyre, is no exception to the developers pedigree.
After announcing the release date earlier this year fans have been counting down the days until they can get hands on with the game. Now with under a week until it’s PS4 and PC release the team have gifted us all with a trailer that gives us a glimpse of the strange and gorgeous world they team have built.
A party-based RPG, the game sees you form a team with other exiles to traverse the bizarre world of Purgatory. The gameplay will see you switch between a narrative based dialog system with your fellow exiles and 3 vs 3 matches that I can only describe as mystical rugby. These matches will also be available for competitive play against friends and strangers.
While we can’t know exactly what Pyre will bring to the table when it releases, their previous games speak volumes for how much fun is in store for us. Will you be picking up Pyre on July 25th? Be sure to let us know what you think!
