Shine bright like a Tapu Koko for a limited time

Distribution events for Pokémon Sun and Moon have been pretty scarce of late, but the drought has been ended with this shiny shower! Melemele Island Guardian Tapu Koko has been announced as the latest Pokémon to get the shiny treatment! According to its pokedex entry ” This guardian deity of Melemele is brimming with curiosity. It summons thunderclouds and stores their lightning inside its body.” , one of the reasons why I love this little guy! The announcement trailer can be seen below.

Tapu Koko is an Electric/Fairy type Pokémon whose speed and attack are an asset to any trainer looking to dominate the battlefield. The shiny edition will come with four pre-set moves, Nature’s Madness, Discharge, Agility,  and Electro Ball. It’s held item is Electric Seed, which boosts the defense stat of an Electric Pokémon in Electric terrain,  a helpful item to Tapu Koko in particular since his ability Electric Surge automatically creates an electric field. Tapu Koko’s initial level will be 60, so you’ll already have a powerhouse Pokémon at your disposal, no training necessary.

Shiny Tapu Koko will be available on Pokémon Sun and Moon from the 14/7/17 – 14/8/17 and will obtainable through Mystery Gift’ s online option. Players will need wi-fi internet connection and space in their Pokémon team to accept the gift from the distributor found in the Pokémon center.
