News has come via press release from Developer Coilworks and publisher Double Eleven that sci-fi parkour platformer Super Cloudbuilt pre-orders are now live. In a bid to reward consumers for putting their money up, the game is serving up a generous platter of demo content to get you ready to ” to leap and blast through stages as quickly as possible”.
With an art-style reminiscent of Borderlands and Sunset Overdrive and free-running that echoes a third-person Mirror’s Edge, my interest is definitely piqued.
Players who pre-order will obtain instant access to a tutorial, three fully playable levels, and an expansive practice mode to hone their skills ahead of the game’s July 24th release date. As an added bonus, an exclusive PS4 theme will come with every pre-order that mirrors the game’s gorgeous cell-shaded art style.
Super Cloudbuilt sees players assume the role of Demi, a youthful soldier who awakens in a destroyed building in a strange new world, disconnected from her old life and physical body. Players will explore, boost and speedrun with Demi’s exo-suit and energy weapon through precarious levels to master new talents and discover the truth behind this strange land and the disastrous accident which brought her here. The game is said to feature Story, Ranked and Rush modes as well as a total of 177 challenges; a veritable treasure trove of experiences to master.
Super Cloudbuilt will release on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on July 24th. Pre-orders are available now, so get ready for some slick parkour and sharpshooting action! Check out the release trailer below!
