Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, the prequel to the highly popular episodic adventure game, will feature music by British indie-folk band Daughter. The band was sought after as the developers believed their sound fit the emotional storytelling experience.
“We wanted to have fun with this project so we made something we felt could be a soundtrack for the characters in the game themselves”, said Igor Haefeli, founding band member.
“We loved the story on first read as it centres around realistic female lead characters who are emotional, intelligent, sensitive and badass in equal measure”, says lead vocalist Elena Tonra, who believes the characters played an integral roll in the creation of their sounds for the game.
The game will also be receiving a soundtrack available to the public titled “Music From Before The Storm”, which will be available September 1st.
The first episode of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm will arrive on August 31st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
