Bubsy bounces back onto our screens this October!

Retro gamers rejoice! Bubsy’s return to the spotlight has finally been given a release date, after 21 long years, his ‘mewment’ in the sun has arrived! Bouncing this way October 31^st, 2017. Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC. Those lucky enough to be PlayStation 4 owners will have the option to buy a physical copy or purchase the game online, while PC players will only be able to download the game. Right ‘meow’, let’s all enjoy this super fun and colourful trailer showcasing Bubsy’s new adventure!

What has Bubsy return this October after all these years, you may ask? Well it would appear that, once again, his prized golden fleece has been ‘jacked by those dastardly Woolies! It’s up to Bubsy to find his stolen fleece, collect as much yarn as he can, and defeat those pesky Woolies along the way. Throughout the trailer we get to sample some of the wise cracking cat’s one-liners including my favourite of the series “is there a veterinarian in the house?“, which just instantly pleases the inner child living inside me! We also see Bubsy explore many different lands in the search for his fleece, as well as take on a number of Woolies and nasty looking UFO’s too, this is gonna be a hectic adventure for our bouncing bobcat hero.

It’s hard to tell if Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back will be a success like his past incarnations (minus Bubsy 3D); nostalgia not-withstanding, cherished games from our past can sometime make us blind to how a game actually was. That being said, even I can’t contain my excitement for this game, the trailer looks fantastic and overall I think it’s time for Bubsy to make a return to the gaming world. You can be rest assured we’ll phone in the verdict once it’s released this October 31st, to PC and PlayStation 4.
