Conan Exiles gains more girth with The Frozen North

Conan Exiles has been receiving a steady stream of updates from Funcom since release, with a huge new expansion coming on August 16th – The Frozen North.  Xbox One owners rejoice because this release also comes to Xbox One Game Preview on the same day as PC.

Adding in a new snow biome, it promises to be just as harsh and unforgiving as the desert but with 70% more landmass overall! Players will also get to dedicate themselves to a new religion, giving them the ability to summon the avatar of Ymir, the Lord of Storm and War.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the brutal PvP nature of the game.

It’s really heartening to see the game gaining more traction and proving itself more than just a genital physics emulator (as amusing as that was).  Since hitting Early Access on January 31st, the developers have added siege weapons, a new dungeon, a dye system, new armor and weapons, new decorations, avatar defenses, new building pieces, and much more.
