Final Fantasy XV brings the boy band to PC in 2018

Posted on August 22, 2017

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has announced that the “Ultimate Version” of Final Fantasy XV will be coming to PC next year, following its 2016 release on PS4 and Xbox One. Square Enix have put out an announcement trailer, which you can check out below.

Powered by Square Enix’s Luminous Engine, the game will feature 4K hi-res textures, Dolby Atmos audio, realistic grass simulation, advanced hair simulation (thanks to NVIDIA Turf Effects and HairWorks… yes these are real things), advanced shadow algorithms and more. If you are not a PC gamer like myself, this is all a fancy way to say it’s going to look real nice on the gaming master race system of choice.

The PC edition will bundle all the released updates and DLC, both free and paid, truly making this version the said “Ultimate Edition” they intended. Final Fantasy XV was my personal favourite game of 2016. You can check out our review here, and wait with bated breath until the game releases on Steam, Origin, and the Windows Store in early 2018.
