Immortal: Unchained promises to bring the pain

Posted on August 23, 2017

The GamesCom news just keeps coming, Sold Out Sales and Toadman Interactive have announced a new action RPG title called Immortal: Unchained. Described as a hardcore action RPG set in a dark, sci-fi universe Immortal: Unchained promises to be a “fresh new take on the emerging souls genre” according to Sarah Hoeksma, Marketing Director at Sold Out. (Have they heard of The Surge though? – Ed)

Blending a third person action shooter with a hardcore RPG, Unchained is certainly not lacking in story. Set in a decaying futuristic world of sci-fi and horror, you’re awoken and released from your eternal prison, fighting to the centre of the nine worlds you must discover the dark truth of who are you? Why are the nine worlds ending? And what are you going to do about it?

For those familiar with the now infamous ‘souls genre’ this game will fill the much needed void in their lives that today’s more forgiving games simply cant fill. However for those unfamiliar with this genre then this game is promising to bring the pain; in fact Sold Out Marketing Director, Sarah Hoeksma said “It is not for the faint-hearted and is a seriously challenging game. The story and range combat really sets us apart from other games out there and we’re really excited to finally be showing Toadman’s first IP to everyone at Gamescom.”

Immortal: Unchained will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, second quarter 2018
