The very first trailer for NBA 2K18 is here, and it’s showing off some impressive stuff. Developers 2K have managed to bring some very realistic looking visuals, using new processes in the way they capture detail (new photo techniques and laser scanning). Check out the trailer below and witness the improved visuals for yourself.
Developer 2K has used new photo techniques with the “ability to separate colours for more accurate player skin tones that react to light in true-to-life form.” The development team also visited the NBA New York offices to laser scan each and every new Nike uniform and over 200 pairs of shoes to capture all of the detail on display, even the super fine stitching.
Eager players can get a free demo dubbed “The Prelude” on September 8th, which will allow players to continue their previous campaign and continue into the full release.
NBA 2K18 will be available on September 15th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Steam.
