Now this was not something I expected to see… well, EVER. Dominos teaming up with Square Enix? To promote Final Fantasy XIV? In Australia? I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.
For a limited time only, you can get your hands on 3 pizzas, a garlic bread, 1.25l drink and a copy of Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition for $49.95. That’s a bargain – according to the Dominos ordering website, it’s a saving of over $54. Given that Steam has FFXIV Starter Edition for $19.99USD and Stormblood for $39.99USD, you can see why I’m so excited for this deal.
They’ve even gone as far as to rename some pizzas especially for the deal. I’m not sure we really want to see what a Chocobo tastes like, but…
For those interested in the game, here’s a tip. Play on a Japanese server. Like all MMORPGs, combat is affected by latency to the server. There are no Australian servers, so the best we can get is playing on Japanese servers. This is a blessing and a curse. Japanese players are very competent, patient, and polite. However, there is the language barrier. Square Enix helps a little here with an auto-translate function for many conversation options. Want to say “Good game!” at the end of a dungeon? You can! Just type ‘Good’ and hit Tab, and you’ll be able to select an auto-completed auto-translated command.
You can find the deal here. If you get a little lost in ordering, look at the scrolling banner at the top of the ordering menu and scroll across until you find the Final Fantasy Gaming Bundle.
