Valve announces new game to a crowd of disappointment

Posted on August 11, 2017

Valve have revealed their newest game to a full crowd and thousands of live viewers at the Dota 2 International. Valve is known for some hugely successful games and franchises including Half-Life, Portal, Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress and of course Dota 2. Not only have they released a whole range of critically and commercially successful games, but fans have been eagerly awaiting new releases from specific Valve franchises for a decade. So when they took centre stage to reveal a new game, viewers got excited.

Unfortunately the game that was revealed, Artifact, wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for. And the announcement was made to a crowd of dissapointment.

Unless your game is adorably cute, “awww” isn’t the reaction you want to hear from a crowd of your fans.

We don’t know very much about Artifact – The Dota Card Game other than what its name reveals and that it will be releasing sometime in 2018. Hopefully details will emerge soon because even if the game isn’t what we may have hoped for, I’m personally still down for a well designed card game. Check out the full teaser trailer below. Were you disappointed?
