Which of Ash’s Pikachu will you choose in Sun & Moon’s latest event?

In celebration of the international cinematic release of Pokémon’s 20th movie, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You, a special “Ash’s Pikachu” distribution event will be coming to Pokémon Sun and Moon.

For those unfamiliar with the anime’s origin, Ash’s humble beginnings in Pallet Town all started when he received his first Pokémon partner Pikachu, but the small electric yellow mouse wasn’t too happy with this. After a rocky start, Pikachu learned that Ash was no ordinary trainer and that he was someone who loved all Pokémon from the bottom of his heart.

The tale told in Pokémon I Choose You will once again revisit the fateful encounter between Ash and Pikachu, but will tweak the circumstances and switch out some old characters (Misty and Brock) for two new ones. Of course this was met with some hesitance, as Ash’s first two companions are probably two of the best he’s had throughout his entire journey – but I may be a little biased here.

Now the awesome event that’s happening in anticipation to this release is the Ash’s Pikachu distribution event, which allows trainers to download a special Pikachu sporting one of Ash’s hats. There are six in total to collect, but  the twist in all of this is that players may only select one Pikachu per game. Players can receive their hat-wearing Pikachu after obtaining a special password from the Pokémon.com website. The date which you collect your prize impacts which Pikachu you will get:

• September 19–25: Ash’s Pikachu (Original Cap)
• September 26 – October 2: Ash’s Pikachu (Hoenn Cap)
• October 3–9: Ash’s Pikachu (Sinnoh Cap)
• October 10–16: Ash’s Pikachu (Unova Cap)
• October 17–23: Ash’s Pikachu (Kalos Cap)
• October 24–30: Ash’s Pikachu (Alola Cap)

They’re all so cute that I just can’t bare to pick only one of Ash’s Pikachu’s, but those are the rules. So I already know what I’m aiming to get (Kanto because nostalgia dictates I must). For all of you readers out there, which Pikachu will you choose?
