Pokémon GO players prepare yourselves as Niantic and The Pokémon Company have just announced the legendary Pokémon trio are arriving this September.
That’s right kids, you’ll finally get the chance to catch Raikou, Entei, Suicune – and this time they won’t scarper as soon as you see them! Players will be given the chance to capture these three legendary canines in Raid Battle located in Gyms around the area. In addition to the arrival of these three legendary creatures, the newly revealed EX Raid Battle feature will begin its field testing program in selected areas before becoming available to trainers worldwide.
Distribution of the three legendries will work in a round-robin process around the world, with each individual one spending a month in each region. From August 31st to September 30th:
- Suicune, a Water-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region (Australia).
- Entei, a Fire-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout Europe and Africa.
- Raikou, an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Americas.
Upon September 30th, all three legendaries will move onto a different region in the world and will be available to obtain for a month before, once again, moving onto their final Pokémon GO region on October 31st. Like the previously released avian legendary trio (Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno), Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will only be available during these limited times, so ensure you get in before they do actually ‘run away’.
