Noctis announced for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Fresh off the success of Final Fantasy XV, Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum has been announced as the newest playable character for the upcoming PlayStation 4 release, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT! In a gorgeous trailer showcasing several warriors of light, battling for the sake of  Materia, the Goddess of Protection, we are treated to a tantalising scene of Noctis besting Final Fantasy villain Garland.

Previously, Dissidia FF NT was only available to play in Japan in arcades but it was then announced to be getting a worldwide release onto the PS4. Since then I’ve been dying  to play this cross-over release, and now that Noctis is coming out to play, I want it that much more!

Showing off not only several playable characters such as Cloud, Lightning, Bartz, and Ramza, we also get to see a bit of gameplay showing off Squall battling a crazed summoned Eidolon Ifrit, something I was super excited to see! If that wasn’t enough, a preview of team battles similar to “capture the flag” was also on show, in which three player teams battle to claim their opposing team’s coloured crystal. The graphics for this game are simply stellar and I am so ready to duke it out with Noctis who looks to be a close to mid range fighter with his signature warp attacks and interchangeable weapons.

With Dissidia Final Fantasy NT looming just over the horizon it’s hard not to get excited, especially with all the new playable characters previously not on its prior release for the PlayStation Portable. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is set for release on the 30th of January 2018 exclusively to the PlayStation 4. Sound off on who you’ll be playing as, and who you wish was on the battle roster that we haven’t seen yet. Personally I’d love an appearance from Gunslinger Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2, or Freya from Final Fantasy IX!
