After months of speculation and rumour, Capcom have finally confirmed Okami HD will be happening and it’s going to be available not only on PlayStation 4 but Xbox One and PC as well. This is incredibly exciting news for a lot of gamers because the title has not been available on Xbox or PC before and this opens up Okami to a whole new audience.
The announcement (which was made in the latest issue of Famitsu) reports that the game will be available in Japan on December 21st for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with PC releasing December 13th. This version of Okami HD is in 4K and as a particularly nice touch to fans of the original game will include all the original loading screen mini games which were sadly cut from the Wii and PS3 ports of the game.
Players will be able to choose between playing in a modern widescreen format or the original 2007 release’s 4:3 ratio. Interactive loading game screens from the original game are also included, allowing players to earn bonus demon fangs which can be traded for in-game items.
For those who have never experienced Okami before, it is well worth your time. For more information, check out the Okami website.
