Square RPG Project Octopath Traveler coming to Switch

Posted on September 14, 2017

A new RPG with the working title Project Octopath Traveler is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018, with a demo available for download right now. Published by Square Enix and produced by the team behind the very popular Bravely Default for 3DS, the art style is stunning and looks to be exactly what the console needs.

The game has been described as an eight-character “2D-HD” journey,  and each character is equipped with different skills that will help them carve out their own paths as the story progresses. The combat is turn-based, adding to the graphics to make a very traditional style that Square is obviously very comfortable with.

Square Enix will be releasing a survey to collect feedback about the game from fans who try it out. This is a great chance to have input in the title before it releases next year. We’ll have more information on the gorgeous Project Octopath Traveler as soon as it comes to hand.
