NBA 2K18 is stepping up and stepping out of the court. In a recent trailer it has been revealed that this game is going open world- a bold new move for any sporting game. Play out the complete life of your basketball dreams- from choosing your haircuts, to shoe shopping, to improving your skills on and off the court.
You, the player, get to live in The Neighborhood inside NBA 2K18, with several city blocks to explore, filled with other ballers (is that what the kids say?) to socialise and interact with. In a statement, Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts Entertainment had this to say:
“We’ve elevated the NBA 2K experience to new heights by putting players at the center of a fully-immersive basketball environment to explore, socialize, and most importantly compete,” We can’t wait to see what this means for the future of the brand, and for fans to get their hands on NBA 2K18 starting September 15th.”
NBA 2K18’s surprises and features don’t stop there. They’ve also unveiled the Road to 99, your way of levelling and improving your rating. With achievements and badge systems, you’ll be working your way up to that coveted 99.
