Elder Scrolls Online Clockwork City DLC finally has a release date

Posted on October 11, 2017

Bethesda have finally announced a released date for their Elder Scrolls Online Clockwork City DLC. Earlier this year at E3 Bethesda announced they would be releasing two new expansions: Horns of the Reach and Clockwork City for Elder Scrolls Online. Whilst we’d already seen the release of Horns of the Reach we were left waiting for a release date on the highly anticipated Clockwork City DLC, until now.

Releasing on October 23rd for PC/Mac, and November 7th for PS4 and Xbox One players. Similar to the Horns of the Reach DLC, Clockwork City will be free to all ESO Plus members is available for purchase via the in-game Crown Store for 2,000 crowns for everyone else. The Clockwork City DLC game pack is available to all players and does not require ESO: Morrowind to play, however Morrowind is where I plan to play.

In addition to the base version of the game, a collectors bundle for Clockwork City will also be available. The Clockwork City Collectors Bundle will be available to purchase via the in-game Crown Store for 4,000 crowns and will include the DLC game pack, the Clockwork Skeevaton pet, the Kagouti Fabricant mount, and Five Crown Experience Scrolls.

The Clockwork City DLC game pack will take Tamriel adventurers through a new zone unlike any other, Sotha Sil’s legendary Clockwork City. There to investigate a new Daedric threat players will find themselves with no shortage of things to do and explore. The DLC game pack presents around 10 hours of fresh Elder Scrolls stories and is jammed with unforgettable architecture, strange creatures, and powerful hybrid monsters. Players will also find a new Trial, Asylum Sanctorum. This new trial will test the mettle of any 12-player group; as well as offer new unique armour sets, customisation items, crafting motifs, and more!

Want to get an early look into some of the mystery surrounding Sotha Sil’s realm? Then check out the Clockwork City prologue quest, live now in The Elder Scrolls Online base game. Prominent diviners, scholars, and planar archaeologists are being killed by their own shadows, and it’s up to you to investigate these deadly assaults. To get started, travel to any local Mages Guild headquarters in Tamriel and find the note on a nearby table titled “Order of the Eye Dispatch”. Read the note to receive the quest “Of Knives and Long Shadows” and begin your new adventure.

Once complete, you will have the “Clockwork Obscuros” memento permanently added to your Collections UI as a reward! And don’t forget, you can continue the story and dive right into the heart of this mysterious realm when the Elder Scrolls Online Clockwork City DLC game pack releases in just a few weeks.
