Cygames debuting popular digital CCG Shadowverse at PAX AUS

Posted on October 3, 2017

Cygames have just announced that they will be debuting their incredibly popular free to play collectible card game Shadowverse at PAX AUS 2017.

Shadowverse is a strategic multiplayer digital card game and has quickly grown in popularity since its launch in 2016 with over 10 million downloads already, so the timing has never been better for Cygames to be making their debut at PAX Australia. The booth at PAX AUS  will feature tournaments, cosplayers, and giveaways so with PAX AUS just a few weeks away now is the perfect time to download Shadowverse and start practicing your CCG skills.

Shadowverse’s Director of Western Operations, Dewi Tanner has said “We’re excited to come to Melbourne and meet our fans, sharing Shadowverse with all the PAX attendees. We know how popular digital collectible card games are in Australia, and believe our game will offer attendees a blend of strategic Japanese CCG and quirky humour.

The timing of Cygames PAX AUS debut also happens to line up nicely with the release of the games sixth card set, Starforged Legends, which was released on September 28th this year. The expansion adds an astronomical 104 cards and a whole constellation of playing styles to the ever-evolving multiplayer metagame at the heart of the the experience. Starforged also offers players a fresh, astrologically-themed experience for both the new and old to enjoy.

Shadowverse and its deck expansions are available to download now from their website, on Steam or via the Apple App and Google Play stores.

If this sounds like fun to you and you’ll be looking for Shadowverse at PAX AUS, they will be located in the main hall at stand 2700, so be sure to stop on by. You might even catch a few members of the Checkpoint team lingering around ready for a match or two!
