A new online game mode has been revealed for the feature-packed WWE 2K18, called Road to Glory.
The mode is designed to inspire competition against opponents online, earning stars from daily matches with the ultimate goal earning you the right to enter into PPV events. If earning the stars isn’t your thing, you can also “pay your way in”, which sounds as micro-transaction-y as possible… Anyway, check out the trailer below!
2K Games has also released information on the Universe Mode, including new rivalry types, Intensity, Power Rankings and several other additions and improvements, which you can read all about in a detailed blog post here.
If that wasn’t enough WWE 2K18 related news for your day, the season pass was also detailed.
Detailed in the handy infographic below, players will receive the following items as they become available:
- Accelerator
- Enduring Icons Pack;
- MyPlayer Kick Start;
- New Moves Pack;
- NXT Generation Pack.
It’s a shame that poor Elias is relegated to the NXT Generation Pack given he’s been getting a lot of screen time on the main roster in the last couple of months, but Ruby Riot, Drew McIntyre and Aleister Black are cool additions to look forward to. I’m also excited to play as recent Hall of Fame inductee Beth Phoenix!
WWE 2K18 is set for release on October 17th, but the Deluxe Edition will be available four days early on October 13th for console players. We’ll have our full review here as soon as get our paws on it.
