With Dragon Ball FighterZ looming closer and closer, I can’t help but get hyped for the newest trailer showing off the fusion warrior Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks! Despite his important role in helping to defend the Earth from Super Buu, Gotenks gets little screen time. So for me, it’s a great opportunity to play with one of Akira Toriyama’s more colourful characters. One of the three latest fighters to be revealed, Gotenks is certainly going to be a troublesome character to battle against and one you’ll certainly want on your team.
The short 30 second trailer shows Goten and Trunks performing the fusion dance before transforming into a Super Saiyan 3 state. It’s from here we see Gotenks battle it out with Kidd Buu, unleashing a flurry of attacks that does his zany battle style justice. It would appear that Gotenks’ diminutive stature will be perfect for his fast paced and often unpredictable attacks, including the Galactic Donuts, Super Kamikaze Ghost Attack, and Revenge Cannon. If it wasn’t for Gotenks’ over-inflated sense of immaturity, he would certainly be a more lovable fighter in the universe, but that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.
There are still two fighters remaining to be shown since the announcement of SS3 Gotenks, and I can only wait with baited breath to also see Adult Gohan and Kidd Buu take centre stage in their own trailers. Dragon Ball FighterZ is due for release this January 26, 2018 onto PlayStation 4 Xbox One, and PC, so prepare yourselves for the oncoming tournament and in the meantime just keep spamming those battle trailers like crazy!
