In new arcade-style game Russian Subway Dogs, every morning dozens of stray dogs make the commute by train from the Moscow suburbs to the downtown core in search of food and fortune.
Inspired by the real-life stray dogs of the Moscow Metro, you’ll play in a single screen format, barking to surprise passengers into dropping their food or throwing explosive vodka into the air to take out rival dogs. Using modern goofy physics with chaos filling the screen at every opportunity, it looks to be a lot of fun, including a range of unlockable critters and other obstacles such as the dangerous Subway Bear.
Russian Subway Dogs was originally created as a jam game for the GDC Pirate Kart. That version (which was quite rough of course as it was made in a weekend) received a lot of praise, so that inspired Spooky Squid Games to work on a proper version with improved graphics, core physics and frame rate, along with plenty of new content.
Russian Subway Dogs is set for release sometime in 2018 on PS4, PS Vita and PC. Check out the announcement trailer below.
