BattleEye, the anti-cheat software that is used by Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) along with other games, has revealed that 1.5 million players have been banned from the game. The announcement comes via Twitter where the anti-cheat company occasionally reveals interesting statistics just like this.

1.5 million is certainly a huge number of players caught cheating and subsequently banned, especially for a game that only launched 9 months ago. According to SteamSpy, their are 26 million PUBG players on PC alone, making the 1.5 million bans roughly 5.8% of the player base. This is certainly a high statistic, but it also shows the effectiveness of the anti-cheat software being used. Have you encountered much cheating in PUBG?
