The PlayStation Experience (PSX) event has come and gone and with it came a bunch of awesome trailers for some equally awesome looking games. One of my most anticipated titles though would have to be the PS4 remake, Shadow of the Colossus. The remake is arriving for PS4 and PS4 pro on the 6th of February 2018, and what better way to get us all excited that a comparison of old and new. Check out the PSX trailer below.
The 2018 Shadow of the Colossus is looking to be a clear step up from the original PS2 and even the PS3 remaster. It’s clear from the footage above that the game is being rebuilt from the ground up, this isn’t a simple coat of paint being applied. The result is (hopefully) a game that can now look as amazing as it felt to play back when it originally released. For those who haven’t played Shadow of the Colossus before it’s a genuinely beautiful and memorising game. And something that should be experienced when it launches in February of next year.
“Rebuilt from the ground up by Bluepoint Games and JAPAN Studio, SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS on PlayStation 4 system introduces the awe of its unforgettable world and towering creatures to a new generation of gamers, while allowing long time fans to revisit the beloved masterpiece with unparalleled visual fidelity and improved performance.”
“Tales speak of an ancient realm where Colossi roam the majestic landscape. Bound to the land, these creatures hold a key to a mystical power of revival – a power you must obtain to bring a loved one back to life.”
“SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS is a breathtaking journey through ancient lands to seek out gigantic beasts. Armed with only a sword and a bow, explore the spacious lands and unearth each Colossus, presenting a unique challenge to test your wits, determination, and skill.” – [source].
