PlayStation Plus free games for January announced

Posted on December 29, 2017

The first month of 2018 is arriving shortly and with it comes the first round of free PlayStation games for the year. The following games are available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The big games headlining January’s lineup are Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: The Telltale Series. Even as a fan of Telltale, I’d have to say that Deus Ex is what really makes this month memorable. Ignoring the protagonist’s gruff and uninspired personality, the game is actually quite fantastically crafted, especially when it comes to allowing the player to chose their own path and move through this interesting world in whatever way they want.

The full lineup includes:

  • Batman: The Telltale Series
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  • Sacred 3 (PS3)
  • The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (PS3)
  • Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (PS Vita, Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Uncanny Valley (PS Vita, Cross Buy with PS4)

Sony also revealed something special for this Month – “PlayStation Plus members can get Starblood Arena as a bonus game starting January 2 through March 6. This arena combat game was built from the ground up to be played in VR with your PS VR headset.”
