Bandai Namco has revealed that Soulcalibur 6 is coming in 2018, just in time for the fighting game franchises 20 year anniversary.
After some teasing over the years, the last mainline Soulcalibur game was actually back in 2012, so it’ll be six years between drinks for the weapons-based fighting game. Soulcalibur 6 will run on the Unreal Engine 4, much like Tekken 7.
Originally launching in 1998, it was soon put on the Sega Dreamcast as one of their flagship titles. Since then it’s been on many platforms, with the original releasing as a downloadable title on the Xbox Live Marketplace several years ago. The fighting series is known for its over-the-top style and intriguing guest characters from other franchises.
No specific date yet, but the game will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime next year.
