In a string of events that seem like they never end, a Star Wars Battlefront II update has gone live that changes the way the progression and economy works in game. It’s no lie that Electronic Arts and DICE have received their fair amount of criticism since Star Wars Battlefront II launched, dating back even to the game’s open beta. I recently got the chance to review Star Wars Battlefront II and greatly enjoyed my time spent with the game regardless of its loot box issues. Featuring a strong female protagonist and with the promise from EA DICE that they would be working on the game’s major issues, I held hope. And it seems like this hope was not ill placed, over the last couple of weeks EA DICE has worked overtime to try and rectify these issues and alleviate the multitude of negative feedback the game has received.
Included in the update (which is now live) are major changes to the progression system and the way the economy works in game. Most importantly credits will be earned much faster as will crafting parts which will make unlocking content a whole lot faster for players. There are plenty more changes still to come and the developer clearly has more plans on how to improve not only the game itself but its public image. EA DICE have stated that “While these are only some initial steps toward making much larger changes, some of these are ready to roll, and are available starting today.”
In the end its all good news for fans of the Star Wars franchise and for those still looking to purchase this title. If you’re interested in finding out the full list of updates you can do so here as the EA Star Wars Battlfront II blog.
