In celebration of the launch of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) on Xbox One next week, Xbox Australia will be dropping real life supply crates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this Saturday.
“The supply crates will each feature a range of great Xbox and PUBG prizes, from Xbox One X consoles and Elite Controllers, to Xbox Live codes, PUBG loot and PUBG game codes which will unlock when the game is released on 12th December. Just like in PUBG, getting to the supply crate as fast as possible is key to securing the best loot with 25 prizes available at each location.”
To get involved, players must keep an eye on the Xbox ANZ Facebook page that can be found here. There will be details around the location and also a password which must be provided to access the loot once the supply drop is found.
There will be three separate supply drops, so that’s one in Melbourne, one in Sydney and one in Brisbane. I don’t want to dissuade you from trying to win, but I’m going to be racing to get there and I will get very angry if you manage to beat me to one of those sweet Xbox One X consoles.
PUBG has been a gigantic success this year on PC. Despite being in early access, the 100 player battle royal shooter has fast become one of the most streamed video games of all time, selling over 15 million copies so far. It was revealed at E3 back in June that the title would be coming to Xbox One as a console exclusive. The game features intense combat in a solo or squad formation so that you can be the last survivor standing on an intense battlefield.
In anticipation, the team have created a video of a first drop in Australia which you can watch below. PUBG comes to Xbox One on Tuesday December 12th.
