Ubisoft has today announced that the first DLC for Assassins Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones, will be available across all platforms on January 23rd. Alongside some of the goodies that Elliot provided for us last week (see here for details), some new information has also been provided.
The biggest piece of new information received today is the introduction of the Discovery Tour by Assassins’s Creed: Ancient Egypt.
Delving into a more educational arena, this mode of the game is set to allow everyone, from players to history/ mythology enthusiasts, free roam the beautiful world of Ancient Egypt or go on guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. For me, the biggest draw factor in this game was the mix of fact and legend, curated with a taste that surpassed all the previous titles.
The ability to experience this without rushing around with an impending threat of being attacked/ time constraints is very attractive. Ubisoft describes the experience as “evolving into a combat free living museum”. Discover tour will be available as a free update for all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners and will be available for purchase separately on Uplay and Steam for Windows PC on February 20th.
More information was also released about the second DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaoh.
The second expansion features a new storyline centering around a curse plaguing the populace of Thebes. A focus on Egyptian mythology will see you pitted against famous pharaohs and beasts as you investigate the source of the unrest. The level cap will be raised to 55 and new outfits and gear will also be available (including rare and legendary weapons) also themed around classic Egyptian mythology. The Curse of the Pharaoh will be available for season pass owners, or can be purchased separately, on March 6th.
