If you’re a fan of paint by numbers or just bringing some much needed colour back into your life then this post is for you, because de Blob 2 is back and is heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Long before we had Splatoon we had de Blob and his truly heroic quest to defeat Comrade Black and bring colour back to Prisma City.
Fans will be aware that de Blob 2 was originally remastered and released on PC back in June last year, thankfully developer THQ Nordic has announced that their beloved colour-splashing platformer de Blob 2 will be making its way to next gen consoles now on February 27th, 2018.
Picking up where the DS version of the game left off it would seem Comrade Black is up to his old tricks still trying to take over Prisma City this time via rigging the Prisma City general election, all whilst continuing to wage a never ending war on colour.
de Blob 2 is a platformer which utilises unique painting functionality as the main game mechanic along with classic platforming actions and low gravity space. Set a few years after the events of the first de Blob game, action in de Blob 2 revolves around another attempt to wipe all colourful individuality from Prisma City and its residents. It’s up to the player to join the Colour Underground and bring colour back to the world. Features include: multiplayer support, 12 new single player levels, new power-ups and epic boss battles.
This is where real splat kids grew up and the February 27th release date is just shy of the games eighth anniversary. I couldn’t think of a better reason to head out and pick up this classic colourful title, can you?
